cc_image.jpg

Thanks for coming to our first weekend Convention, held in August 2016 in the Black Mountains on the Welsh borders. We're already planning a follow up event and would love to hear what you thought of our first gathering... there are just five short questions.

How would you rate your overall Campfire 001.UK experience?

    Q: What was missing?
A: Hmmm. I have had several months to think about this… We talked a lot about new ideas but very few of these writers and ‘game changers’ were present. Maybe in the coming year, those of us who know some of these folk eg. Oliver Tickell, Tim Lang, Kevin Andersen etc etc could get them to be present even if only for a few hours…

    Q: What was missing?
A: 1. The site felt too big for the amount of people so at times it felt a bit sparse.
    2. Almost too much information to take in all at once and felt more music or other forms of entertainment/information were needed for balance.
    3. Mostly like minded middle aged people in attendance so a need to attract a wider age range.

Q: How would you describe the event to friends?
A: A meeting of minds and an opportunity to discuss and listen to new ideas with the object of creating an alternative community in response to the failed economics of globalisation.
